Is there a way to block a customer?

discussion.She keeps ordering "non returnable goods" from me and then calls Amazon to complain and they give her back the money with a ribbon on top. I am out close to $500

She's placed orders since but I already know her info so I cancel her orders. Now Amazon is threatening account disactivation due to high cancellations....someone please help

Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed a significant drop in my sales on Amazon recently. Despite keeping my prices competitive and maintaining good product ratings, the decline continues. I’m wondering if others are experiencing the same issue. Could it be due to recent algorithm changes, increased competition, or seasonal fluctuations?

I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to improve sales in the current market.

SEAmod has left the (Amazon) building ... literally, and not in a "headed to that great beyond" kind if way (thankfully). Her last post on the ASF was close to when she left.

I knew it was bound to happen at some point. However, that doesn't change how I feel about things right now. I really wish it had been many years from now and under different circumstances. I know everyone won't feel the same about her absence, and that's OK. Some won't care, just because they don't really know much about her/you. Those who might take some sort of joy in this just don't matter to me.

While I know Amazon doesn't care about the loss, sadly I don't think the majority of sellers will realize how much of a loss this is to our community; how much she/you advocated for the average seller; all the behind the scenes work that went unnoticed. Well I noticed, as did many others, and I thank her/you for being the longest tenured AZ Employee Poster in the forums. Granted the last few years her/your participation has been on a lower level, yet it has still been there helping sellers.

I was in the OSFE when she/you first came in so many years ago, under DarrenK if I'm not mistaken. For a while you were even our lone Moderator, and that during a rough stretch for the ASF. Yet she/you kept it going, building on what DarrenK had started. Eventually even becoming our Global Admin covering every ASF around the globe.

I was privileged to be a part of a small'ish group, who spent a lot of time in the forums, who were able to help for a period of time with the OSFE. It allowed me to have more interactions with you than most. What I saw was a caring person who enjoyed her job and knew who to go to on our behalf when issues arose.

I can't even imagine how many PM/DM conversations you had with posters.

I never got the chance to meet up with her/you. I wish I had! Hopefully though somehow in the near future we can make that happen.

People come and go here. I get that. You gave us many years and I can't thank you enough for that. In this day and time even more than a year of ASF participation is rare, so we should be thankful to have gotten so many.

Whatever life has ahead for you I hope that you enjoy it to the fullest! Don't look back!

I recently submitted my INFORM Consumers Act verification using the same information as last year. However, a few days later, I received a warning stating, "Your account is at risk of deactivation," with the Tax ID verification still in progress and no actions available except to wait.

I contacted support, who said it was a technical error and advised me to wait 72 hours for resolution. But it's more than 72 hours, and I still have this warming.

discussion.this banner is on my account and I don't want my account gets suspended again due to this bug in the system. I have uploaded my BN number and Federal letter containing my company's info but still shows in progress.

Last year my account was suspended due to informs act and it was similar to this one , I couldn't upload documents then as the system didn't let me upload and I lost a lot due to that bug.

Please help.

Dear @Seller_SBIjJooGeXSQ6 I think I found some evidence what could cause the actual known issue of many sellers seeing for days following threat on their dashboard despite of having completed the “Tax Verificaton” as requested.

My research shows that it concerns sellers on .com living in another country. Sellers living in USA are not affected. We follow the requested steps and complete the “Seller Central Tax Profile” and click “Save and Preview” at the bottom and then we receive a download of the W-8BEN (for Individuals). We put our “signature” in this W-8BEN and click “Submit Form”. Immediately we get a confirmation saying “The tax information is complete”.

But we notice that NOWHERE we are asked to give our national Tax ID like this was the case while previous reverifications. Also, I searched in the Account settings: nowhere a trace of our Tax ID!

During the last reverification in June 2023, we had to fill an “Inform Act Tax Questionnaire” where we had to provide our national tax ID. I understand that this actual “Seller Central Tax Profile” probably means the tax profile in the eyes of the US IRS. But somehow the IT people messed it up with sellers living in another country. If Amazon needs now our national tax ID again, they just have to request it. Although if the AI is looking for this national tax ID and there is no place to provide it: big risk of account deactivation – without fault of the seller!

Please forward these thoughts to the specific IT team. SEVERAL sellers were already deactivated because of this issue, without their fault and without hope of reinstatement! We all live now with the REAL danger that our account will be deactivated tomorrow.

We have already completed and verified all required tax information on our account. However, we are still seeing a tax verification request on the portal.

Kindly review this issue and provide clarification or resolve it at the earliest.

My account is deactivated, request to clear is fast as all my business stuck here.

US Postal Service head DeJoy to step down after 5 years marked by pandemic, losses and cost cuts. <---for article, google that

Dude personally destroyed USPS. Used to get Priority mail across the country in 2-3 days, and you could file for claims on lost packages.

Now even Amazon's own shipping algo knows that Priority takes a week or more, and if a package gets lost, good luck navigating the appeals process.

It was sad to see the mighty USPS crippled by this loser. Hope he rots, and hope we get someone who was ACTUALLY A POSTAL EMPLOYEE AT ONE TIME IN THEIR LIFE

I still can't access my account since TUESDAY. I was sent an email saying my verification was complete. I can't even reach out to seller support or request a call. This is terrible.

Hello Amazon Seller Community,


I'm reaching out in urgent need of assistance from Amazon Moderators.


Since February 13th, my Seller Central dashboard has been displaying a worrying alert: "Your account is at risk of deactivation" due to an ongoing tax verification issue, required for compliance with the INFORM Consumers Act.


For security, I've updated the tax information (without changing anything because all information has remained the same and accurate for over 3 years). I saved and downloaded the tax interview.


Despite the "Tax Information" page confirming that my tax details have been "validated successfully" (screenshot attached), the warning of risk of deactivation persists.


Four days ago, I asked for help from Health Support, and they told me that it's an Amazon technical error and that my account is safe, active, and normal, and to wait for 24-72 business hours for the dashboard to get refreshed.

Four days have passed but the warning of risk of deactivation persists. I also opened a case with seller support - CASE ID - 17228260541.


I really don’t know what else to do. I'm very worried and feel alone in this situation.
