Would Amazon consider giving free campaigns to new companies as a new year's gift?

This is just a suggestion...

I'm a new company on Amazon. I had to turn off adverts because I paid more for adverts than sales.

I spent so much to get the product to Amazon warehouses that I can't afford it anymore.

It would be great if Amazon would advertise for 1 month free of charge to encourage me.

Please think about it.

It costs no more to succeed in online sales as it costs to fail in online sales. The difference is the amount of Knowledge you have to put forth in your endeavors at hand.

Before venturing into FBA sales, make sure you test your product using FBM first. Selling the product for at least a month will give you an idea of the sales volume. Based on that data and the desired profit that must be made, you can determine if the product is a good fit for FBA sales, and if you will be able to afford all the fees Amazon is going to assess.

Amazon is a for-profit company and makes the profit from what fees it charges sellers. New sellers who blindly use FBA often find the fees eat all of the product's profit Leaving none remaining for you. You don’t want to fall into that trap.

If you decide that FBA is for you, after tou test sell the product, make sure you hold back another month’s supply of inventory to keep on selling while waiting for the FBA inventory to be processes. That way, your profit can still be earned.

_________________________________________________________________________

Advertising is directly related to what was said above. The 3rd party seller of advertising will always make money off of you whether or not the product sells on not. You must have to test sold your product, so you have a base line to know what you are doing.

A better question to ask is, why do you need any advertising at all. The bottom line in advertising that no one will tell you, not even Amazon, is this. Advertising will not help sell a dead product that no one wants and if you have a good selling product, it is not necessary. Now, where does your product fit in?

Remember, successful online selling is all based on keeping for yourself, as much of the profit in the item when it is sold. All advertising is paid out of your UNEARNED PROFIT., whether or not the item sells. This is what makes the second paragraph so important. If you are selling a product that is a slow mover, and throw advertising at, you just may end up with no profit at all.

3. Did you test sell the product for a month using FBM to find out if it was going to be a good seller or not. After all, you would not want to buy advertising without having a base line to assess the effectiveness. The same is true for FBA selling. You would not want to send a product to FBA without selling it FBM first, that way you know if the product’s salability can withstand the fees Amazon will collect.

When you bought the product, you knew the profit that had to be made on each unit. You knew all the selling and shipping fees that had to be paid on each unit. You set your selling price based on this information. Then you start selling. Anything else you spend is directly subtracted from your Unearned profit. So now, with open ended advertising product, how much profit are you losing by giving it a way to an advertising scheme?

Amazon selling is simple. Sell only products that buyers want and need. The lowest price offering will sell before the higher price offering. Are you the lowest price offering, or do you have to ask a higher price to pay for the advertising.

Do you have surplus income from sales to actually create an advertising budget? Amazon is very good as selling advertising products to sellers who want to succeed. But Amazon’s efforts are designed to keep your mind off of your real bottom line, YOUR PORFIT.

Amazon does not make its profit from the buyers; they make their profit from the sellers. The more Amazon can sell you the more Amazon makes. Amazon wants you to sell with competitive pricing often quite higher than the lowest price offering. That way, Amazon can sell you the advertising so you can keep your price higher. All the while knows the lowest price offering will always sell before the higher price.

________________________________________________________________________

Now to answer your question. Amazon does not give anything; it takes as much of your profit as it can get.

Amazon DOES give a push to newly listed products. That is called "Honeymoon period". It's about 3-4 weeks your product is placed very high in front of other products to boost it. If you get enough sales, your product will stay there. After 3-4 weeks your product will take the "real" place it deserves in the search results.
